About Me

I am a wife and mom of 3 beautiful boys. I became interested in birth and postpartum work after giving birth to my oldest son. I realized how little I knew and how much help I truly needed. I knew then that I wanted to be that source of knowledge and support for families wherever they needed it. I have received postpartum training through DONA International and am currently pursuing certification with DONA.

What is a Doula?

Simply, a Doula is a person who provides physical, emotional, and informational support during pregnancy, during labor & birth, and during the postpartum months (most commonly during the 4th trimester or the first 3 months of a new baby's life). Doulas are not medically trained but work with families to support whatever medical guidance they receive.

Services

  1. Infant Care I will watch over and help care for your new baby with you. I can provide guidance through all the ups and downs of the first few months of your new baby's life. I can also just hold the baby so that you can take a much-needed break to eat, shower, or nap.
  2. Birthing-parent Care  Postpartum can be tough while you recover physically and begin to adjust emotionally and mentally to having a new baby. I will be there to make sure you have the physical and emotional support you need to recover fully and comfortably. I can also provide support in whatever way you choose to feed your baby. My main goal is to help you feel supported, seen, and rested throughout your 4th trimester.
  3. Family Support A new baby means a whole new family dynamic. I can help any family member living in the home adjust to their new role and provide them with support through this transition. I am supportive of all family structures. I can also help care for any older siblings while parents focus on the new baby. I will always respect the traditions and customs of your culture as well, just tell me where you need me!
  4. Home Care I can meal prep, cook, clean, do laundry, organize, or whatever else your family needs to feel comfortable in your space. I can also assist in finding any services your family might need once my work is complete.
  5. Pet care I can care for any pet needs that might arise in a given day, including walking, feeding, bathing, cleaning litter boxes/cages, and playing with the pet(s).
  6. General Knowledge I will not promise to have all the answers. However, I continue to study, learn, and research everything I can about newborns and postpartum care. I can promise that any knowledge I share with you will be evidence-based and free of personal judgment. This is your family and your baby. I will give you the information you ask for and support the decisions you make.
